Grand Cru Classé in 1855, it was acquired in the mid-19th century by the current owners’ ancestors.
Château Doisy-Védrines is located on the clay limestone hilltop of Haut Barsac. The soil work in the vineyard is done traditionally. Manual harvests are done by sorting continuously (6 or 8 times). Fermentation and aging take place in barrels (French oak only).
The combination of modern techniques with tradition give Château Doisy-Védrines wines of great quality with sap and finesse, required by the Crus Classés of Sauternes. The production of Doisy-Védrines is of 36,000 bottles.
Well balanced, young, these wines are a real pleasure for an aperitif. With an older vintage, they will be appreciated at the end of the meal.
They will be delighted to welcome you to Chateau de Doisy-Védrines and have you discover their universe.
